MU 32 data logger / electronics unit

The Mierij Meteo Data Logger Unit MU 32 is the base control system for meteorological stations and systems. The set up of the MU 32 Data Logger Unit is flexible. The base unit can be extended with the options / interfaces needed for your application.

The basis Datalogger unit has the main functions:           

• Power Supply for the sensors
• Processing the measured variables by a µController
• Processing analogue and serial output of the measured data
• Data storage on memory card (2 Gb)

The unit contains a micro processor which averages the digital differential signals of the Mierij Meteo Wind Sensors within preset ranges. For wind direction the standard averaging time is 10 seconds and the standard operating range 0-360°. The standard operating range for wind speed is 0 to 50 meters per second. The inputs for the windsensor are optically isolated (when using our digital windsensors). 

Standard 4 other analogue sensors can be connected like Temperature / Humidity / Barometric Pressure and Solar radiation. Also this unit contains a pulse counter input for connecting a rain gauge or rain detector. 

The Datalogger Unit can be adjusted for different sample intervals, averaging times and measuring ranges to meet your requirements. Also the unit can be extended to connect other (meteorological) instruments.  

Digital (RS-232 / RS-485) outputs are standard available to connect the Datalogger Unit to a PC or Laptop. Interfaces for communication via LAN or GSM / GPRS are available as an option. 

Analogue outputs (0-20 / 4-20 mA / 0-10V ) can be provided as an option. Also relay outputs (max. 2) can be provided as an option. 

The electronics unit is protected against inductive interference in accordance with prevailing international standards. The unit is supplied in an enclosure for wall mounting. Enclosures for mast mounting are available too.
