MW 22 Combined Wind Sensor

• Combined wind sensor with no moving parts

• Micro chip technology with thermal measuring principle

• No maintenance

MW 22 Combined Wind Sensor measures wind speed and direction in a single compact and light weight instrument with no moving parts. The unique design uses temperature stabilised integrated circuits and thermocouple sensors to measure the changes in temperature caused by wind flowing through the instrument housing. A micro-controller derives the wind speed and direction information and outputs it as a digital signal according to the NMEA 0183 standard.

MW 22 is low cost, with minimal maintenance, and is not sensitive to humidity, precipitation, salt and air-borne pollution. It is simple to install and ideal for applications in horticulture, building automation and sailing.
